2. THE SYSTEMIC CRISIS
Ghana and many African nations are facing a preventable humanitarian collapse driven by poverty:
Poverty is producing:
Premature deaths - Preventable deaths are producing:
Orphans
Teenage pregnancy
Drug involvement
Crime
School dropouts
Family breakdown
Pastors dying from treatable sicknesses
This is not a seasonal hardship — it is a systemic, generational crisis.
3. PERSONAL CATALYST
The story that ignited the mission.
In 2015, the Padmores sent financial help to a close pastor friend in Ghana. The same day the money arrived, they called to confirm he had received it — but there was no answer. After several attempts, his wife finally picked up the phone, silent and trembling. When she gathered the strength to speak, she said, “Pastor Padmore… your friend passed away today.”
He died from a preventable sickness, leaving behind his wife and children. The suffering had gone on for years, but the very day help arrived was the day he died.
When the Padmores returned to Ghana in 2024, they discovered that many more pastors — and countless families — had died in the same way. Preventable deaths, broken families, systemic lack of support, youth trapped in drugs and crime, and rising teenage pregnancy were devastating entire communities. Asking about a friend often meant reopening fresh wounds for grieving households. Especially when you've been away for a while. That's how serious the situation has become.
This pain became their vow:
“Lord, this plague must stop.”
If we can do something about this, let's do it now before it's too late.
4. DIVINE MANDATE — THE SOLUTION
What God revealed. What we must do.
Soon after, the Lord showed the Padmores the map of Ghana in a circle, divided into three parts. He said, “Take one and solve it.” At the time, the meaning was unclear.
But after witnessing the suffering firsthand in Ghana and other parts of Africa — the preventable deaths, the broken families, the systemic lack of support, youth on drugs and crime, and rising teenage pregnancy — the mandate became unmistakable:
We must uproot poverty.
Poverty is the root cause of these tragedies, and God has called us to confront it with compassion, strategy, and sustainable solutions.
Our long-term goal is not handouts, not the symptoms. It's a permanent solution.
We support students who need us the most.
